The summer sun was blazing, and the pool sparkled like a giant sheet of blue glass. Monkey Cubis had been staring at it all morning, curiosity dancing in his eyes. He’d never been this close to such a big pool before, and his little hands gripped the edge as he peered at his own reflection.
At first, Cubis dipped a cautious toe in the water, instantly pulling it back with a surprised squeak. The splash seemed to challenge him, and with that, his playful spirit took over. He began smacking the water with both hands, sending droplets flying everywhere—right onto Mom, who wasn’t ready for an impromptu shower.
Encouraged by his audience’s laughter, Cubis took it a step further. He leaned in too far, lost his balance, and—plop!—right into the shallow end he went! His little face popped up in a mix of shock and delight. Instead of scrambling out, he started paddling around, splashing as if he’d been a water-loving monkey his whole life.
Every move he made was pure comedy. He tried to chase floating toys but kept getting distracted by his own ripples. Then he discovered the pool’s inflatable flamingo. With determination, he climbed on, wobbling dangerously like a tiny pirate captain at sea. The flamingo tipped, and Cubis tumbled back into the water, emerging with a triumphant grin as if that was the plan all along.
Mom couldn’t stop laughing, and even the neighbors peeked over the fence to see what the commotion was about. Cubis was putting on a full-blown show, splashing, sliding along the pool’s edge, and even “washing” his ears in the water like it was a spa day.
By the time the sun began to set, Cubis was wrapped in a fluffy towel, still chattering and pointing at the pool as if planning tomorrow’s adventure. His first pool day had been an unforgettable blend of comedy, chaos, and charm.
One thing was certain—Monkey Cubis might not be the best swimmer yet, but he’s definitely the best entertainer when there’s water involved! 😂
