Please… Open the Door! Monkey Lyly Closed the Door Not Wanting Her Mother to Come in the House

One afternoon, Monkey Lyly was feeling particularly cheeky. She had spent the day playing with her toys, scattering them all over the living room, making a big mess. Her mother had told her several times to clean up, but Lyly was too busy having fun to listen.

When she heard her mother coming home from the market, Lyly’s eyes widened. She knew her mother wouldn’t be happy to see the mess she had made. In a moment of panic and mischievousness, she scampered over to the door and quickly pushed it shut. “I can’t let her see this!” Lyly whispered to herself, giggling nervously.

From outside, her mother’s gentle voice called, “Lyly, darling, open the door. I’m home!”

But Lyly pressed her little hands against the door, determined not to let her mother in until she could tidy up the mess. “No, Mama! You can’t come in yet!” she squealed.

“Lyly, what are you doing? Why can’t I come in?” her mother asked, her tone curious but growing concerned.

Lyly hesitated. She knew she couldn’t keep her mother out forever. As her mother continued to call from the other side, Lyly started gathering her toys and frantically shoving them under the couch, behind cushions, and even in her toy chest.

Finally, when the room looked a bit more presentable, Lyly opened the door, her face flushed and her breath quick. “Come in, Mama!” she said with a nervous grin.

Her mother looked around the room, noticing a few stray toys still peeking out from under the furniture. With a knowing smile, she asked, “Did you clean up properly, Lyly?”

Lyly’s cheeks turned pink, and she lowered her gaze. “I tried, Mama… I was just scared you’d be mad.”

Her mother knelt down and hugged her warmly. “I’m not mad, Lyly. But next time, clean up when I ask you to, okay?”

Lyly nodded eagerly, feeling both relief and warmth from her mother’s kindness. It was a playful lesson learned, and one she would remember the next time she made a mess.
