The morning sun peeked through the curtains, casting a warm golden glow across the room. Lala stretched her little arms and yawned, rubbing her eyes before hopping out of bed. Today felt special—her mom had promised they would begin the day together with something new: exercise and a healthy breakfast!
Mom was already waiting in the living room, yoga mat rolled out and music softly playing. “Good morning, Lala,” she said with a smile. “Are you ready to move your body?” Lala giggled and nodded, bouncing onto her own mat. They started with simple stretches—touching their toes, reaching for the sky, and swaying side to side. Lala tried her best to copy Mom’s poses, though sometimes she wobbled and toppled over, making them both laugh.
Next came a fun round of jumping jacks and a little dance session to their favorite upbeat song. Lala twirled around with her arms wide, her laughter filling the room. “See?” Mom encouraged. “Exercise doesn’t have to be boring—it can be fun!” Lala’s cheeks turned rosy, and she felt her energy growing with every move.
After their workout, Mom guided Lala into the kitchen. “Now, time to fuel our bodies,” she said. Together they washed fresh berries, sliced bananas, and sprinkled crunchy granola into bowls of creamy yogurt. Mom also blended a green smoothie packed with spinach, apples, and a touch of honey. Lala wrinkled her nose at the green color but took a sip anyway—and her eyes lit up. “Mmm! It’s sweet!” she exclaimed.
They sat at the table, enjoying their colorful plates of food. Lala loved the way the fruit burst with flavor, and Mom explained how each bite was giving her body strength and health. “When we take care of our bodies,” Mom said gently, “we feel happier and stronger.”
Lala leaned against her mom, full and content. She decided mornings like this were the best—time spent moving, laughing, and sharing tasty, healthy food with the person she loved most.
