Monkey Lyly prevented the mother from taking the kitten back to the kitten’s home.

Monkey Lyly has always been full of surprises, but this time, her mischief took a very unexpected turn. It all began when Lyly’s family found a tiny stray kitten outside their home. Weak and shivering, the little one was brought inside for warmth and care. Lyly, curious as always, was the first to approach, sniffing and tilting her head as if trying to figure out what this small creature was.

To everyone’s surprise, Lyly immediately grew attached to the kitten. She followed it around, tried to cuddle beside it, and even offered her favorite snacks as if to say, “You’re mine now.” Her protective instincts switched on instantly, and it was clear she had adopted the kitten in her own way.

A few hours later, the mother cat of the kitten returned, waiting outside and meowing anxiously. The family knew they had to reunite the little one with its real mother. Gently, they picked up the kitten and walked toward the door. That’s when Lyly’s true colors showed.

With a dramatic leap, Lyly rushed over, wrapping her little arms around the kitten and refusing to let go. She squeaked and fussed, glaring at anyone who tried to separate them. When her mother reached again for the kitten, Lyly stood her ground, as though she were declaring, “No! This is my baby now!”

The scene was both hilarious and heartwarming. A tiny monkey, so determined, trying to stop a real mother cat from reclaiming her own kitten—it was something no one expected to witness. Eventually, with gentle coaxing, Lyly was distracted, and the kitten was returned safely to its mother, who purred in relief as she carried her baby back home.

Still, Lyly sulked for the rest of the day, clearly missing her little friend. Her family couldn’t help but laugh. It was a touching reminder that love and attachment aren’t bound by species. To Lyly, that kitten wasn’t just an animal passing through—it was family.
