Monkey Lyly Was Disappointed Because Her Mother Closed the Door So She Couldn’t Get Into the House

Monkey Lyly was having the time of her life playing outside. She had spent hours chasing butterflies, climbing trees, and rolling around in the grass. The sun was beginning to set, painting the sky in beautiful shades of orange and pink. Feeling tired and hungry, Lyly decided it was time to head back home to her mother.

Excitedly, she dashed toward the house, her little feet pattering against the ground. But when she reached the door, her heart sank. The door was closed! Lyly scratched lightly on the wooden surface and let out a few soft squeaks, hoping her mother would hear her and open the door. But there was no response.

Lyly tried peeking through the small gap under the door, her curious eyes searching for any sign of her mother. She let out a few more squeaks, this time louder and more desperate. But still, no one came to let her in. The disappointment in her eyes was clear.

She sat down on the doorstep, her tiny arms folded over her chest as she pouted with frustration. The cool evening breeze ruffled her fur, and she started to feel a bit chilly. She even tried knocking on the door with her tiny hands, mimicking the way she had seen her mother do it. But it was no use.

Just as Lyly was about to give up and wander off, the door creaked open. Her mother stood there, smiling warmly. “Oh, Lyly! I didn’t hear you outside! Were you waiting long?” her mother asked gently.

The moment Lyly saw her mother’s face, her disappointment melted away. She jumped into her mother’s arms, clinging to her neck and chattering away as if telling her all about the big, terrible door that had kept her outside.

Her mother chuckled, stroking Lyly’s back reassuringly. From that moment on, she made sure the door was never closed for too long when Lyly was out playing. And Lyly? She learned to make a little more noise when she wanted to be let in.
