Monkey Lyly always loved playing with Tommy the cat. The two were best friends, constantly chasing each other around the house and getting into all sorts of mischief. But today, Lyly had a new idea—one that Tommy definitely didn’t agree to.
As Lyly sat beside Tommy, she noticed his fluffy fur looking a bit uneven. She had seen her mother trim hair before and thought, Why not give Tommy a makeover? Without a second thought, she grabbed a pair of small scissors lying nearby and carefully approached the unsuspecting cat.
Tommy, enjoying a lazy afternoon nap, had no idea what was about to happen. Lyly snipped here and there, giggling as tufts of fur floated to the ground. She even tried to shape his tail, but Tommy flicked it away in annoyance.
Just as she was about to finish her masterpiece, a voice rang out.
“Lyly! What are you doing?!”
Her mother stood at the doorway, eyes wide in shock. Lyly froze, scissors still in her hand, while Tommy quickly jumped up and bolted away. His fur was now a patchy mess, with uneven chunks missing from his back and sides.
Monkey Lyly looked up at her mother with an innocent smile, hoping to avoid trouble. “I was just helping Tommy look nice!” she said proudly.
Her mother sighed, shaking her head as she walked over to inspect the damage. Poor Tommy sat in the corner, licking his fur, looking both confused and slightly embarrassed.
