Lala helps Grandma prepare food for the chickens and ducks!

It was a bright and cheerful morning when little Lala woke up to the sound of clucking chickens and quacking ducks outside Grandma’s house. The farmyard was already alive with noise and movement. Grandma was standing by the wooden shed, mixing feed in a big metal bucket. When Lala saw her, she ran over, her tiny feet pattering on the ground.

“Grandma! Can I help you today?” Lala asked eagerly, her eyes sparkling.

Grandma smiled warmly and handed her a small scoop. “Of course, my dear. The chickens and ducks will be very happy to see you helping.”

Together, they mixed crushed corn, grains, and a bit of rice into the bucket. Lala giggled as she stirred, her little hands barely able to lift the scoop. “It smells funny, Grandma!” she said, wrinkling her nose.

Grandma chuckled. “That’s the smell of fresh farm food. The animals love it.”

When the food was ready, Lala helped carry the small pails to the chicken coop. As soon as Grandma opened the door, the hens came rushing out, clucking excitedly. Lala scattered the feed on the ground, laughing as the chickens pecked happily around her feet. “They’re so hungry!” she exclaimed.

Next came the ducks. Lala followed Grandma to the pond, where the ducks waddled eagerly toward them. She threw handfuls of feed onto the water, watching the ripples spread as the ducks quacked and gobbled it up.

After all the animals were fed, Lala sat beside Grandma on a wooden bench. The sun was warm, and a gentle breeze carried the sounds of the contented farm. Grandma patted her on the head and said softly, “You did a wonderful job today, Lala. The animals are happy, and so am I.”

Lala beamed proudly and hugged her grandma tightly. “I’ll help you every day, Grandma!” she promised.

From that day on, feeding the chickens and ducks became their special morning routine—full of laughter, love, and the sweet bond between grandmother and granddaughter.
