Cubis Monkey Buys Milk for His Monkey Friend Luk!

The sun peeked over the treetops, warming the bustling jungle marketplace where little Cubis the monkey loved to visit. Today, he had a very important mission. His best friend Luk had woken up sick and tired, with a rumbling tummy and no appetite for bananas. The only thing Luk wanted was warm, creamy milk.

Cubis was determined to help.

With a tiny pouch of coins tied around his waist, he dashed through the leaves and branches, swinging joyfully from vine to vine. “Hold on, Luk! I’ll bring milk soon!” he chattered to himself.

He arrived at the fruit-and-milk stand where a gentle old goat named Madam Bibi sold the best jungle milk. Cubis stood on his toes and announced proudly, “One bottle of milk, please! My friend is not feeling well.”

Madam Bibi smiled, her bells jingling as she prepared the fresh milk. “Your friend is lucky to have someone like you looking out for him,” she said kindly.

Cubis paid carefully with his tiny paws, making sure not to drop a single coin. Madam Bibi placed the bottle into his pouch and reminded him, “Don’t shake it too much—milk needs love!”

Cubis nodded seriously and hurried off, holding the bottle like treasure. Along the way, he dodged swooping birds and jumped over a log where frogs splashed in puddles. He even stopped for a moment to catch his breath, patting the bottle gently to keep it safe and warm.

Finally, he reached Luk’s home. His friend lay curled up in a cozy leaf bed, eyes dull and tummy grumbling. Cubis rushed to his side and held up the milk proudly.

“I brought this just for you, Luk! Drink and feel better!”

Luk’s eyes lit up. He slowly took a sip… and then another… until a happy little smile spread across his face. His strength began to return, and soon he was sitting up, chattering gratefully.

“You’re the best friend ever, Cubis!”

Cubis felt his heart swell with joy. Helping a friend, he realized, was the sweetest feeling—sweeter than bananas, sweeter than honey, even sweeter than milk!

And so, the two friends spent the rest of the day playing gently under the shade of the trees—together, just the way they loved.
