Monkey Lyly climbed onto the sink to eat and her mother was speechless when she saw her.

It was an ordinary afternoon in the kitchen when Monkey Lyly decided that she had waited long enough for a snack. Her mother had been busy tidying up, and Lyly’s curious eyes had locked onto the sink, where a shiny bowl of fruit was waiting to be washed. Bananas, apples, and a few juicy grapes—Lyly’s favorites—all sitting just out of reach.

With her mischievous spirit, Lyly made her move. She hopped onto a stool, then scrambled up the counter with surprising speed. In no time at all, she was perched proudly on the edge of the sink, her little hands already reaching into the bowl. She grabbed a banana, peeled it clumsily with determination, and stuffed a chunk into her mouth.

The sight was both hilarious and unbelievable. There she sat, legs dangling over the sink, happily munching as though she had prepared the snack for herself. Lyly even licked her fingers, smacking her lips in pure delight.

That was the moment her mother walked in. She froze at the doorway, her eyes widening as she took in the scene—her little monkey perched like a queen at the sink, eating fruit straight from the bowl. For a moment, she was truly speechless. Should she scold Lyly? Laugh at her cleverness? Or simply shake her head in disbelief?

Lyly glanced up mid-bite, cheeks full and eyes wide, as if she had just been caught red-handed. For a split second, she froze. Then, with her most innocent look, she offered her mother a piece of banana, as though to say, “See? I was just sharing!”

Her mother couldn’t hold back her laughter. Though exasperated, she scooped Lyly down from the sink, gently reminding her that food wasn’t meant to be stolen. Still, she couldn’t help but admire her daughter’s boldness.

Monkey Lyly had turned an ordinary snack time into a story her mother would never forget—leaving her speechless, amused, and secretly proud.
