The sun was bright, the water cool, and Monkey Lyly couldn’t wait to jump into the pool. She loved splashing around, twirling in circles, and showing off her little swimming tricks to Mom. The moment she dipped her toes in, her face lit up with pure joy. With a squeal, she leapt into the water, kicking and paddling with all her might.
But excitement sometimes comes with surprises. In the middle of her happy splashes, something unexpected happened—Lyly suddenly froze, her eyes widening. Then, with a little plop, she pooped right there in the pool!
For a second, she looked around in confusion, tilting her head as if wondering, “Did anyone see that?” But the water gave her secret away quickly. Mom gasped, covering her mouth, while nearby swimmers pointed and laughed. Lyly’s cheeks puffed up, her expression caught between embarrassment and mischief.
Instead of crying, though, Lyly did what only Lyly could do—she giggled! She splashed even harder, sending waves everywhere, almost as if to hide her little accident under a cover of water. But the more she tried to distract, the more obvious it became.
Mom quickly scooped her out of the pool, shaking her head but trying not to laugh. “Lyly! You can’t do that in the water!” she scolded gently. Lyly, still dripping wet, clung to Mom’s arm, flashing her biggest innocent smile, as if to say, “Oops! My bad!”
The pool had to be cleared for cleaning, and everyone chuckled about the “little swimmer’s surprise.” Lyly, however, was more interested in the snack waiting by the poolside than in the commotion she caused. Within minutes, she was munching happily, completely unbothered, while Mom sighed in disbelief.
What happened next? Well, Lyly may not be allowed back in the pool for a while—but one thing’s for sure, she gave everyone a story they’ll never forget!
