Lala helps Mom pick delicious fruits and food at the supermarket!

It was a bright Saturday morning, and Lala was full of energy as she grabbed her little shopping basket and followed Mom into the supermarket. Today was special—she wasn’t just tagging along, she was going to help pick out the family’s food. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as the automatic doors opened, letting in the cool air and the delicious smells of fresh produce.

First stop: the fruit section. Lala marched proudly to the apples and began to examine them carefully, just like she had seen Mom do. She tapped one gently and held it up. “This one looks shiny, Mom! Can we take it?” she asked, dropping it into the basket with a big grin. Soon, she had picked a rainbow of fruits—red apples, yellow bananas, juicy grapes, and even a pineapple that made her giggle because of its spiky top.

Next, Mom guided her to the vegetables. Lala wrinkled her nose at the broccoli at first, but when Mom explained that it was like “little trees,” she happily placed a bunch in the cart, imagining herself eating a tiny forest for dinner. She also helped choose carrots, cucumbers, and bright red tomatoes, proudly showing them off to Mom like they were treasures.

At the bakery section, the smell of warm bread made her tummy rumble. Mom let her pick a loaf, and Lala squeezed it gently, declaring, “This one is soft—perfect!” Together they also chose some cheese, yogurt, and a little bag of her favorite snacks.

Finally, at the checkout line, Lala placed each item on the counter with care, smiling at the cashier like a true little helper. By the time they left, her basket was empty, but her heart was full of pride.

On the way home, Mom hugged her and said, “You were amazing today, Lala. I couldn’t have done it without you.” Lala beamed, already dreaming about the delicious meal they would cook together with all the fresh food she helped choose.
