What’s wrong, Lyly?? Monkey Lyly got into trouble while playing in the rain on the rooftop

It started with a light drizzle tapping against the windows. Most would have stayed inside, cozy and dry—but not Monkey Lyly. The moment she noticed the rain, her little eyes sparkled with excitement. Without hesitation, she scampered up to the rooftop, eager to dance in the drops.

At first, it was magical. Lyly twirled around, clapping her hands, stomping her feet in the tiny puddles that began to form. She tilted her head back, letting the cool rain splash across her cheeks. With every jump and giggle, she looked like the happiest monkey in the world.

But as the rain grew heavier, so did the trouble. The smooth rooftop tiles became slippery, and Lyly, too busy playing, didn’t notice. She ran across the roof, only to slip suddenly—her little hands scrambling for balance. “What’s wrong, Lyly??” Mom’s worried voice called out from below as she saw her daughter’s stumble.

Lyly froze, heart racing. She crouched down, gripping the tiles tightly, her earlier laughter now replaced with wide-eyed panic. The playful rain had turned into something scary. She wanted to climb down, but every step felt too risky.

Mom quickly rushed upstairs, her umbrella forgotten as she climbed. Reaching the rooftop, she stretched out her arms. “Come here, Lyly. Don’t worry, Mommy’s got you.” Slowly and carefully, Lyly crawled toward her mother’s open arms. When she finally reached her, she leapt into the hug, clinging tightly, her little body still trembling.

Mom held her close, kissing her wet fur. “My silly little monkey,” she said gently, “rooftops are dangerous when it rains. Playtime is safer on the ground.” Lyly sniffled, nodding in agreement.

Back inside, wrapped in a warm towel, Lyly finally smiled again. Though the adventure had frightened her, she learned an important lesson that day: not every game is worth the risk. And with Mom by her side, she knew she’d always be safe.
