It all started as an ordinary afternoon at home. The sun was warm, the air filled with laughter, and little Cubis, the clever monkey, was bursting with playful energy. Dad had barely finished his coffee when Cubis came bouncing in with that mischievous grin that always meant trouble—or fun. “Hide and seek, Dad!” he squeaked, clapping his tiny hands excitedly.
Dad chuckled. “Alright, Cubis, but no cheating this time!”
The moment Dad began to count, Cubis dashed off faster than a blur, his tail swishing behind him. He was determined to find the ultimate hiding spot—something so clever even Dad couldn’t guess. He peeked under the sofa, behind the curtains, and even inside the laundry basket, but none seemed good enough. Then, suddenly, his eyes lit up. The perfect place!
A few minutes later, Dad opened his eyes and began the search. “Cubis? Where are you, buddy?” he called. The house was silent except for the occasional giggle echoing through the hall. Dad checked behind doors, under blankets, and even in the cabinets—but no Cubis!
Meanwhile, Cubis was trying hard not to laugh. He had squeezed himself inside an empty toy box, peeking through a tiny crack as Dad walked right past him—three times! When Dad finally gave up and sat on the couch in defeat, the box suddenly shook, and out popped Cubis with a triumphant squeal!
Dad burst into laughter. “You little trickster! You almost gave me a heart attack!” Cubis hugged him tightly, his face full of pride and joy. But the game didn’t end there—because when it was Dad’s turn to hide, Cubis searched every inch of the house… and still couldn’t find him for ten whole minutes!
