Every night in the house, there’s a little routine that everyone looks forward to—and no one follows it better than Monkey Cubis. While most little ones try to sneak their way out of bedtime, Cubis surprises everyone by proving just how smart he is. Before curling up to sleep, he never forgets the most important step: brushing his teeth!
As soon as Mom says, “Time for bed, Cubis!” he jumps up with excitement and runs straight to the bathroom. With his tiny hands, he grabs his colorful toothbrush and squeezes out just the right amount of toothpaste (sometimes a little too much, but that’s part of his charm). He loves watching the foam bubble up as he brushes, moving the brush side to side, up and down, just the way Mom taught him.
Of course, being Cubis, he makes the whole process funny. He puffs out his cheeks, makes silly faces in the mirror, and sometimes tries to hum a little tune with the toothbrush still in his mouth. Mom can’t help but laugh as she watches him turn a simple routine into a comedy show.
When he’s all done, Cubis proudly spits, rinses, and flashes the biggest, brightest smile to show off his clean teeth. He even claps for himself, as if saying, “Look at me! I did it all by myself!”
Finally, with his teeth sparkling, Cubis hops into bed. Mom tucks him in, kisses his forehead, and whispers, “Goodnight, my smart little monkey.” Cubis snuggles into his blanket, satisfied that he’s ended his day just right.
