Today felt extra special in our little home. The sun was shining through the windows, the air felt calm, and for once, there was no rush. With a rare day off, I finally had the chance to sit down and go through all the packages that had been sent for Chooch and CiCi.
As I opened each box and envelope, I couldn’t help but smile. There were toys, treats, blankets, and little notes of encouragement tucked inside—each one a reminder of the kindness and generosity that has been poured our way. Chooch sniffed at every package with his calm, curious nature, while CiCi couldn’t hide her excitement, her tail wagging nonstop as if she knew each gift was sent with love.
What struck me most wasn’t just the thoughtfulness of the gifts, but the messages that came with them. Words from people near and far, telling us how Chooch and CiCi’s journey had touched their hearts, made them smile on tough days, or reminded them of their own pets. It’s humbling to think that our little corner of the world has somehow connected with so many others.
As I watched the two of them enjoy their new treasures—Chooch gently chewing on his new toy, CiCi prancing around proudly with hers—I felt a deep sense of gratitude. These aren’t just material things. They are symbols of compassion, community, and the bonds we share, even with people we’ve never met in person.
So from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for loving these two as much as I do. Thank you for every message, every package, every bit of support you’ve sent our way. It’s more than I could ever have imagined, and it means the world to us.
Chooch and CiCi may not understand the full scope of it, but they feel your love in every treat, every toy, and every moment of joy you’ve given them. And as for me, I’m simply grateful beyond words.
