CUTIS Chooses TV Over the Market with Dad & Buem— And the Ending

On a bright and breezy morning, Dad and Buem were getting ready to head to the busy market. They planned to buy fresh vegetables, fruit, and a few special treats for the family. As they put on their shoes, they invited CUTIS to come along. Everyone expected her to jump at the chance, since she usually loved exploring the colorful stalls and lively streets. But to their surprise, CUTIS shook her head and pointed toward the television.

Her favorite cartoon was about to start, and she simply couldn’t bear to miss it. With a small pout and hopeful eyes, she asked if she could stay home just this once. After a brief pause, Dad and Buem agreed, reminding her to stay safe and behave well. CUTIS waved happily as they left, quickly settling in front of the TV with her snacks and a cozy blanket.

At first, she was completely absorbed in the bright images and cheerful music. But as time passed, the house grew quiet. The laughter, chatter, and excitement she usually felt at the market were missing. Slowly, CUTIS began to feel a strange emptiness. She looked around the room, suddenly wishing she had gone along to experience the adventure instead of sitting alone.

Just then, the door opened. Dad and Buem returned, carrying bags full of fresh produce and warm street food. The delicious smell instantly filled the house. CUTIS ran to greet them, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. They shared stories of friendly vendors, funny moments, and unexpected bargains. Listening to them, CUTIS realized how much she had missed.

Then came the surprise ending. Buem reached into a bag and pulled out CUTIS’s favorite treat, bought especially for her. Touched by their thoughtfulness, CUTIS hugged them tightly and promised not to skip family outings again. She learned that while TV can be fun, the memories made together are far more precious.

That day ended with laughter, shared food, and warm conversations. CUTIS went to bed feeling grateful, understanding that the greatest joy doesn’t come from screens, but from the simple moments spent side by side with the people who love her most.
