Moving into a new house was already exciting, but for Lala, the real adventure began outside—on the little farm that came with it. The land was full of promise: a few old wooden fences, an empty chicken coop, and patches of soil that hadn’t been touched in years. Dad saw a project, but Lala saw a playground. Together, they rolled up their sleeves to bring new life to their farm.
Early in the morning, Dad carried tools and wood, while Lala proudly put on her little gardening gloves. “I’m ready, Dad!” she said with a big grin. Her first job was to help paint the fence. With a brush almost as tall as her, Lala dipped it into the white paint and carefully stroked the wooden planks. Some paint ended up on her cheeks and shirt, but Dad laughed, saying, “That’s the sign of a real hard worker!”
Next came the soil. Dad dug deep, loosening the earth, while Lala followed behind dropping seeds into the rows. She pressed each one down with her tiny fingers, whispering, “Grow strong, little plants.” Her excitement made the work feel less like a chore and more like a game.
When they reached the chicken coop, Lala’s eyes lit up. She helped Dad sweep out the dust and lay down fresh straw. “Soon the chickens will be happy here,” she said proudly, imagining the clucks and eggs to come.
By the end of the day, the sun was setting, painting the sky with warm colors. The once-neglected farm looked different—brighter, cleaner, and full of hope. Lala leaned against Dad, tired but happy. “We did it, Daddy,” she whispered, her eyes sparkling.
Dad smiled and wrapped his arm around her. “Yes, Lala. This is just the beginning. Together, we’ll make this farm our home.”
The farm wasn’t just a piece of land anymore—it was a dream being built, one fence, one seed, and one father-daughter moment at a time.
