Cubis woke up crying from a dream!

The night was quiet, and the house was still. Everyone was fast asleep, but in the small bedroom, little Cubis tossed and turned under the blanket. His face scrunched up, his tiny hands clutched the sheets, and soft whimpers began to escape his lips. He was dreaming—only this dream wasn’t the nice kind with laughter and play. It was a scary one.

In the dream, Cubis was alone. He looked around but couldn’t find Mom or Dad anywhere. The room felt darker, colder, and the silence was heavy. He called out for them, his voice trembling, but no one answered. His little feet tried to run, but no matter how far he went, he couldn’t reach the safety of his family. Fear bubbled in his chest, and tears welled up in his dream until they broke into reality.

Suddenly, Cubis woke up with a start. His cheeks were wet, and his small cries filled the room. Sitting up, he rubbed his eyes, confused and frightened. “Mom… Dad…” he whispered, his voice shaking. The world around him felt strange, as if part of the dream still lingered.

Mom, hearing the sound of her son’s cries, hurried into the room. She found Cubis clutching his blanket, his tears glistening in the soft glow of the nightlight. Kneeling beside him, she wrapped him in her arms and whispered gently, “It’s okay, sweetheart. You’re safe. Mommy’s here.”

Cubis buried his face against her, sobbing softly. “I dreamed you were gone…”

Mom kissed his head and held him tighter. “Dreams can feel scary, but they’re not real. I will never leave you, Cubis. You are always safe with me.”

Her soothing words and warm embrace calmed him little by little. His breathing slowed, and his small hands relaxed their grip on her shirt. Before long, his eyelids grew heavy again. This time, when he drifted back to sleep, he did so knowing his mother’s love was stronger than any bad dream.

And though the night had started with tears, it ended with peace, as Cubis slept soundly in the safety of her arms.
