Baby Monkey Poki Steals Pupu’s Candy When He Is Denied Entry to the Room

In a cozy treehouse nestled high in the jungle, little monkey Pupu was getting ready for his afternoon snack. He had saved his favorite treat all day—two pieces of sticky, sweet jungle candy wrapped in banana leaves.

Just as he was about to enjoy it, Baby Monkey Poki toddled over, eyes wide with curiosity. “Pupu! Can I come in and play?”

Pupu shook his head quickly. “Not now, Poki. I’m busy!”

Poki’s face fell. “But… I just want to sit with you…”

“I said no!” Pupu replied, shutting the bamboo door gently but firmly.

Poki sat outside, his tiny tail twitching. His nose sniffed the air—he could smell the candy! His stomach rumbled, and his eyes wandered toward the small window just above the vines.

An idea popped into his head.

Quietly, Poki climbed the vine and peeked inside. Pupu had turned away for a moment to grab a napkin. In that blink of time, Poki swung through the window, tiptoed across the floor, and snatched one piece of candy with lightning speed.

Just as quickly, he zipped back outside, hiding behind a bush.

“Mmm!” Poki giggled, chewing happily. “So good!”

Inside, Pupu turned back and gasped. “Hey! Where’s my second candy?!”

Suddenly, he spotted sticky paw prints on the floor leading to the window. He frowned, then looked outside.

“POKI!”

Poki froze, cheeks puffed with sweetness.

“Why did you take my candy?” Pupu asked, crossing his arms.

Poki looked down. “I just wanted to be with you… and I was hungry…”

Pupu sighed, then softened. “You should’ve just told me, Poki. It’s not okay to steal.”

“I’m sorry…” Poki mumbled. “Can I help you clean up?”

Pupu smiled a little. “Alright. But next time, we share—honestly.”

From that day on, Poki learned a big lesson: sneaky candy missions weren’t worth losing trust. And Pupu learned that sometimes, little brothers just want to be included.

And yes—they made new candy together the next day.
