Lala Has Trouble Doing the Laundry So She Asks Grandma!

It was a bright Saturday morning when Lala decided she wanted to be responsible and help around the house. Her dad had left a small basket of clothes that needed washing, and Lala proudly announced to herself, “I can do this! I’m big now!” She marched to the laundry room with determination, her tiny steps full of confidence.

But the moment she opened the washing machine, that confidence began to wobble.

First, she tried to lift the basket—but it was heavier than she expected. She wobbled left, then right, and nearly spilled the clothes on the floor. “Okay… that was harder than I thought,” she muttered, cheeks puffed. Then she attempted to sort the laundry. Whites? Colors? Towels? She squinted at the pile as if the clothes were trying to trick her.

Next came the detergent. Lala grabbed the bottle enthusiastically, but the cap was too tight. She twisted with all her strength until her arms felt like noodles, but it wouldn’t budge. “This is impossible!” she groaned.

Feeling frustrated, Lala sat on the floor and sighed dramatically. “Laundry is too hard! How does Grandma make it look so easy?”

Right at that moment, Grandma passed by the hallway and noticed the struggling little helper. “Lala, darling, what’s going on?” she asked gently.

Lala jumped up. “Grandma! I want to do the laundry but everything’s confusing… and heavy… and stuck!”

Grandma chuckled warmly and kneeled beside her. “Sweet girl, laundry isn’t hard when you know the tricks. Come, let’s do it together.”

With patience and smiles, Grandma showed Lala how to sort clothes by color, how to measure detergent without spilling, and how to load the washing machine properly. Lala paid close attention, nodding seriously at every step.

“Now press this button,” Grandma instructed.

Lala pressed it proudly, and the machine whirred to life. “I did it!” she squealed.

Grandma gave her a warm hug. “See? With a little help, you can do anything.”

Lala beamed. “Next time, Grandma… I’ll try it all by myself!”

And from that day on, laundry time became one of Lala’s favorite chores—because it was something she learned with love.
