Cubis Helps Dad Dry Clothes in a Funny Way!

It was a bright, breezy morning when Dad decided it was laundry day. The sun was shining, and the wind was just right for drying clothes. As soon as Dad started hanging the wet laundry, Cubis—the mischievous little monkey—came bouncing over, full of curiosity and energy. “Oh no,” Dad sighed with a smile, “I know that look. You want to help, don’t you?”

Cubis clapped his tiny hands excitedly and nodded. Dad handed him a small towel, hoping to keep him occupied. But of course, Cubis had other plans. Instead of hanging the towel neatly, he proudly tossed it high into the air. It landed… right on Dad’s head! Dad chuckled, pulling it off while Cubis giggled uncontrollably.

Determined to be helpful, Cubis grabbed a wet shirt and ran to the drying line. But instead of using clothespins, he decided to hang it his own way—by wrapping it around the line like a scarf! When the breeze blew, the shirt flapped wildly, making Cubis laugh so hard he almost rolled off the bench.

Things got even funnier when Dad wasn’t looking. Cubis took a pair of socks and started putting them on the fence posts, one by one, like little decorations. Then he found Dad’s favorite T-shirt and decided it needed a “special spot.” Moments later, Dad looked up to find it proudly hanging from a tree branch, fluttering like a flag!

By the time they were done, the backyard looked more like a colorful jungle playground than a drying area. Shirts were hanging from branches, socks were scattered everywhere, and towels were draped over bushes. But Cubis stood proudly beside Dad, grinning ear to ear, clearly very pleased with his “help.”

Dad couldn’t help but laugh. “Well, Cubis,” he said, patting the little monkey’s head, “it’s not perfect—but it sure is the funniest laundry day ever!”

That evening, as the wind gently swayed the oddly hung clothes, Dad smiled and thought, “Laundry might never be easy again—but with Cubis, it will always be full of laughter.” 🐒👕🌞
