Monkey Lyly Is Embarrassed Because of the Strange Smell on Her Body, So She Avoids Her Mother

It was a bright morning when little Monkey Lyly woke up feeling unusually shy. Normally, she would rush to her mom, jump into her arms, and chatter happily. But today, something was different. She sat quietly in the corner, sniffing herself and making a funny face. There was a strange smell coming from her fur—something she couldn’t quite understand.

Earlier that morning, while playing in the garden, Lyly had rolled around in a pile of damp leaves without realizing that something smelly had soaked into her fur. Now, her once soft, sweet scent was replaced by something… well, quite unpleasant! When Mom came closer, smiling and calling her name, Lyly froze.

“Lyly! Come here, sweetheart,” Mom said cheerfully. But instead of running toward her, Lyly covered her nose and turned away. Mom blinked in surprise. “What’s wrong, my little girl?” she asked softly.

Lyly peeked over her shoulder, looking guilty. Her cheeks puffed up, and she hid her face behind her tiny hands. Every time Mom tried to approach, Lyly shuffled backward, embarrassed and unsure of what to do. It was as if she was saying, “No, Mom! Don’t come too close—I stink!”

Finally, Mom noticed the source of the problem and couldn’t help but laugh. “Oh, Lyly,” she said kindly, “did you roll in something smelly again?” Lyly nodded shyly, still hiding her face.

Without scolding her, Mom gently scooped her up and took her to the warm water basin. “Let’s fix that right away,” she said. Lyly squirmed at first but soon relaxed as Mom washed her fur carefully, humming a soft tune. The warm water and sweet-smelling soap made Lyly feel better instantly.

When they finished, Lyly was fresh, fluffy, and proud again. She climbed into her mom’s arms, cuddling close, her embarrassment forgotten. Mom smiled and whispered, “See? Nothing to be ashamed of, my little stinky girl.”

From then on, whenever Lyly smelled something funny, she’d wrinkle her nose and stay far away—lesson learned in the cutest way possible!
