Cubis woke up that sunny morning with excitement sparkling in his eyes. He had seen a video of a beautiful fancy café the night before—a place where people drank colorful drinks, ate fluffy cakes, and took pretty pictures. Cubis adored delicious treats, and even more, he loved adventures! So, he decided today would be the perfect day to visit that amazing café.
But there was one tiny problem… Cubis didn’t have any money.
He looked over at Daddy, who was busy reading the newspaper and sipping coffee. Cubis took a deep breath and stood in front of him with his sweetest smile. His tiny hands were folded politely, and his tail gently swayed behind him.
“Daddy…” Cubis began softly, his voice filled with hopeful charm. “Can I please have some money to go to the fancy café? I promise I’ll behave and won’t make a mess!”
Daddy lowered the newspaper and looked at the little monkey, who was staring up with big, shining eyes. Daddy couldn’t help but laugh. He knew this expression very well—the “I want a treat” face.
“Hmmm,” Daddy pretended to think hard. “Why do you want to go there?”
Cubis hopped excitedly. “Because they have yummy pancakes, big milkshakes, and I want to take cute photos to show you when I come back!”
Daddy smiled warmly and gently rubbed Cubis’s head. “If you want café money, you need to earn it. Can you help me sweep the yard and clean up your toys first?”
Cubis didn’t complain—not even a little! He nodded confidently and rushed to get the broom. He worked hard sweeping leaves, folding his blankets, and organizing his favorite plush toys in a neat line. Daddy watched proudly as Cubis put in all his effort.
Finally, Daddy handed Cubis a small wallet filled with enough money. “You earned this, my good boy. Enjoy your café adventure!”
Cubis danced happily, hugging Daddy tight before skipping out the door. Today, he wasn’t just visiting a café—he was celebrating his hard work and responsibility. And of course, he couldn’t wait to come home and show Daddy all the tasty things he tried!
