Cubis, the playful little monkey, woke up with a burst of excitement that morning. Today was a very special day—he was finally going fishing in the countryside for the very first time! He had spent days watching Dad prepare fishing rods, bait, a small picnic basket, and a tiny hat just for Cubis. The little monkey could hardly sleep the night before, imagining all the fish he would catch.
As soon as breakfast was finished, Cubis rushed outside, hopping up and down while waiting for Dad to lock the door. “Slow down, Cubis,” Dad laughed. “The fish aren’t going anywhere!” But Cubis was too thrilled to stay still. He clutched his small fishing pole proudly, feeling like a true fisherman.
The countryside was peaceful and full of fresh scents—wildflowers, green grass, and sparkling water from the rushing stream. Birds chirped happily, and dragonflies danced in the warm sunlight. Cubis’s eyes widened at everything around him. “Wow! It’s so beautiful!” he exclaimed, twirling around with joy.
Dad showed him how to cast the line into the water. Cubis tried to copy him but accidentally flung the bait backward instead, landing it near a patch of mud. He giggled, embarrassed but determined. Dad patiently guided him again, and finally—plop!—the hook landed right in the water.
Cubis sat quietly, gripping his fishing rod tightly, his tail swishing with anticipation. Minutes passed… then suddenly the line tugged! “Dad! Dad! I think I got one!” he squealed. Dad helped him pull gently, and out came a small, shiny fish wriggling in the sunlight. Cubis’s eyes sparkled like stars. It was his first ever catch!
They released the little fish back into the stream, watching it swim happily away. Cubis felt proud—he had done it! After a few more tries, he and Dad enjoyed their picnic by the water, munching on fruit and cookies while listening to the calming sounds of the countryside.
As the sun set, Cubis leaned against Dad, tired but glowing with happiness. He already couldn’t wait for their next fishing adventure. The countryside had become his new favorite place—a world full of discovery, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
