Monkey Lyly loved going shopping with her mom. The grocery store was full of colorful fruit, shiny snack packages, and fun sounds. Lyly rode in the shopping cart—well, in their case, a big woven basket Mom carried on her arm. She felt like a queen being carried through her kingdom of treats.
But on this particular day, something unexpected happened.
Lyly had enjoyed a huge breakfast of bananas, mangoes, and coconut pudding. Her tummy had been feeling a little wiggly all morning, but she was too excited about shopping to think much about it. As Mom browsed the fruit aisle, Lyly suddenly froze. Her eyes widened. Oh no. Her tummy wasn’t just wiggling—it was demanding urgent action!
Lyly squirmed, hoping the feeling would pass. She tried to distract herself by grabbing a juicy orange. But the pressure built, and with one tiny squeak of panic—Oops! It happened.
Right there in Mom’s shopping basket.
Lyly’s face turned bright red under her fur. She covered her eyes with her tiny hands. She wasn’t sure whether to cry or disappear into thin air. Mom looked down, shocked for a second… and then burst into laughter.
“Oh, Lyly! Couldn’t you wait just two more minutes?” Mom chuckled, quickly signaling a store worker for help.
The friendly staff didn’t scold her at all. Instead, they giggled and rolled out a tiny cleanup cart—apparently, this wasn’t the first baby mishap the store had seen. They even gave Lyly a fresh banana to cheer her up.
Still embarrassed, Lyly clung to Mom’s neck while they finished shopping with a new basket. But as they reached the checkout, a silly little boy spotted her and yelled, “Hey! That monkey has the fastest poop in aisle three!” Everyone laughed—including Lyly this time.
By the time they got home, Lyly turned the whole thing into a funny story for Dad. She learned two things that day: always use the bathroom before shopping… and sometimes embarrassing moments make the funniest memories!
