Monkey Lyly was confused about what to do when she saw the broken swimming pool.

It was a bright, sunny morning, and Monkey Lyly woke up excited to start her day. She had planned to go for a refreshing swim, something she loved doing on warm days. With her little towel over her shoulder and her favorite pink floaty in hand, she skipped happily to the backyard. But when she arrived, her smile quickly faded.

The swimming pool was broken! Water was leaking everywhere, forming puddles across the yard. The inflatable side had a huge tear, and the once-sparkling blue pool was now half-empty and sagging sadly to one side. Lyly froze, her eyes wide in disbelief. “Oh no… what happened here?” she gasped, scratching her head in confusion.

At first, she tried to fix it herself. She ran to grab her toy bucket, scooping water and trying to pour it back into the pool — but it just kept leaking out. Next, she tried pressing her hands against the hole to stop the water, but it only squirted back at her, splashing her face. Lyly blinked and frowned. “Hmm… this isn’t working,” she muttered.

Feeling lost, she sat down beside the pool, her tail curling around her. She didn’t want to bother Mom, who was busy in the kitchen, but she also didn’t want to lose her swimming pool forever. After thinking for a moment, Lyly had an idea — maybe tape could fix it! She ran inside, grabbed a roll of colorful tape, and carefully patched the hole. But when she filled the pool again, the water began to leak from another spot!

That’s when Mom came outside and saw the mess. “Oh, Lyly! What happened?” she asked, trying not to laugh. Lyly looked up with big eyes and said softly, “I tried to fix it, Mom, but it keeps breaking…”

Mom knelt beside her and smiled. “It’s okay, sweetheart. We’ll fix it together — or maybe it’s time for a new one.”

Lyly’s face brightened instantly. Together, they cleaned the yard, and later that week, Lyly got a brand-new pool. This time, she learned that asking for help can turn a big problem into a happy ending.
