Lala helps Mom harvest vegetables for the ducklings to eat!

It was a bright and cheerful morning on the little family farm. The sun shone warmly over the garden, and the soft quacking of ducklings echoed near the pond. Lala, the curious little girl, ran out of the house with her hat slightly tilted and a basket in her hand. “Mom! What are we doing today?” she asked excitedly.

Mom smiled and pointed toward the vegetable garden. “Today we’re harvesting vegetables for the ducklings! They love fresh greens, and it’s time to pick some.” Lala’s eyes sparkled. She loved helping her mom, especially when it involved her fluffy duck friends.

Together, they walked between rows of green vegetables. The leaves glistened with dew, and the air smelled fresh and earthy. Mom showed Lala how to gently pull the lettuce from the ground without hurting the roots. Lala tried to copy her, but the first one she pulled sent a little splash of dirt flying into her face. “Oops!” she giggled, wiping her nose.

Soon, Lala got the hang of it. She carefully picked spinach, lettuce, and even some tender cabbage leaves. “The ducklings are going to love this!” she said proudly, filling her basket to the top. Mom nodded, watching her little helper work so diligently.

After finishing, they carried the vegetables to the duck pen. As soon as the ducklings saw Lala coming, they ran toward her, their tiny feet pattering on the ground. “Quack! Quack!” they cried, as if cheering for their favorite girl. Lala gently placed the greens on the ground, laughing as the ducklings eagerly pecked at their meal.

“They must be saying thank you, Lala,” Mom said with a smile. Lala grinned, watching her feathered friends eat happily. “I’ll help again tomorrow, Mom! The ducklings need me!”

Mom hugged her tightly. “You’re such a caring little farmer.”

As the sun began to set, Lala felt proud and happy. Helping Mom and feeding the ducklings wasn’t just work—it was love, laughter, and another beautiful day on their happy little farm.
