Lala is surprised to meet Dad’s Mom and helps put the chickens in the coop!

It was a bright and cheerful morning when Lala and Dad set off for a little trip to the countryside. Dad told her they were visiting someone very special, but he didn’t say who. Lala’s curiosity bubbled inside her like a shaken soda can. She kept asking, “Who are we going to see, Dad?” but he only smiled mysteriously and said, “You’ll see soon, my little explorer.”

When they arrived at a cozy old house surrounded by green fields and blooming flowers, Lala jumped out of the car and stretched her arms wide. The air smelled of fresh grass and something delicious cooking. Suddenly, an elderly lady with warm eyes and a gentle smile came out of the doorway. Dad called out happily, “Mom! We’re here!”

Lala blinked in surprise. “Dad’s… Mom?” she whispered. Then she gasped, realizing—this was Grandma! The woman knelt down and opened her arms, and Lala ran straight into them. Grandma hugged her tightly, laughing softly. “Oh, so you’re the famous Lala! I’ve heard so much about you,” she said lovingly.

After a cozy lunch filled with laughter and Grandma’s delicious home-cooked food, Lala followed her outside. Grandma was gathering her chickens to bring them back into the coop before sunset. The chickens clucked and scattered, making Lala giggle. “They’re so fast!” she said.

“Let’s work together,” Grandma said kindly. Lala nodded eagerly. She waved her arms gently, guiding the chickens one by one toward the coop. Some were stubborn, some playful, but with teamwork and laughter, they managed to get them all inside safely. Dad watched from the porch, smiling proudly.

When the last chicken was safely tucked in, Grandma wiped her hands and kissed Lala’s forehead. “You’re quite the little helper,” she said warmly. Lala beamed. “I love helping you, Grandma!”

As the golden sunset bathed the yard in light, Lala snuggled next to Grandma and Dad, feeling happy and loved. It had been a day full of surprises, laughter, and family—and now she knew just how special Grandma really was.
