Monkey Lyly is grateful that her mother promptly helped her cool down in the hot sun.

The afternoon sun beat down harshly on the little clearing where Monkey Lyly was playing. The leaves on the trees barely offered shade, and the stones beneath her tiny feet felt warm to the touch. Lyly, with her playful energy, had been running around for hours, chasing butterflies and trying to climb low branches. But soon the heat became unbearable. Her fur grew damp with sweat, her chest rose and fell faster, and her little face flushed from the scorching rays.

Lyly tried to keep going, but her small body could no longer handle it. She stopped suddenly, panting heavily, her eyes drooping with fatigue. She gave out a faint squeak as if asking for help. Her mother, who had been watching from nearby, rushed to her side the moment she noticed her daughter’s distress.

With quick, caring hands, Mother lifted Lyly and carried her to a shady spot under a large tree. The ground there was cool and soft with fallen leaves. Gently fanning her with a broad leaf, she whispered soothing sounds to calm her down. She then brought over a small container of clean water, allowing Lyly to sip slowly and splash a little on her face.

Feeling the refreshing coolness, Lyly’s eyes brightened again. She leaned into her mother’s arms, enjoying the comfort of being cared for. The danger of the heat faded, replaced with safety and love. Mother stroked her back, reminding her softly to be careful when playing in the sun and to always rest when it gets too hot.

Lyly listened quietly, nodding her little head. She felt a deep sense of gratitude, knowing that without her mother’s prompt care, the sun could have harmed her badly. As she rested, she realized how lucky she was to have such a watchful and loving mother.

That day, Monkey Lyly promised herself she would never forget her mother’s kindness. And while the sun might shine fiercely again, she knew she would always find shade and comfort in her mother’s care.
