Cubis Ran Away from Dad to Go Out, Making Dad Worried and Looking for Him!

It was supposed to be an ordinary morning. Dad was sipping his coffee, getting ready for the day, while Cubis sat by the door, staring longingly outside. His little paws tapped the floor, his eyes sparkling with curiosity. Dad chuckled, “Not today, Cubis. We’ll go out later.” But Cubis had other plans.

The moment Dad turned his back, Cubis saw his chance. With a quick wiggle and push, he slipped through the half-open door and darted outside like a flash of lightning. Dad nearly dropped his coffee. “Cubis! Come back here!” he shouted, but the little rascal was already halfway down the street.

Panic set in. Dad hurried to put on his shoes and ran after him, calling his name over and over. Neighbors peeked out of their windows, some even pointing and laughing as the chase unfolded. Cubis, on the other hand, thought this was the best game ever. His tail wagged as he sniffed around every corner, exploring freedom like a true adventurer.

Dad’s heart raced, imagining the worst. “What if he gets lost? What if he runs into traffic?” he worried. He searched the park, the alley, even the bakery on the corner where Cubis liked to beg for treats.

Finally, Dad spotted him. There was Cubis, sitting happily in the grass, looking completely unbothered—as if the whole adventure had been worth it. When Dad approached, Cubis tilted his head innocently, as though asking, What took you so long?

Dad scooped him up with a sigh of relief. “You scared me half to death, buddy.” Cubis licked his cheek, tail wagging, clearly proud of his little escapade.

Back at home, Dad double-checked the door, making sure it was locked tight this time. Cubis curled up on the couch, exhausted from his adventure, while Dad sat beside him, still shaking his head.

Even though Cubis had given him quite the scare, Dad couldn’t help but smile. After all, that mischievous little heart was what made life with Cubis so unforgettable.
