Cute Cubis helps Dad cook tofu soup!

The kitchen was alive with delicious smells, and Cubis was right in the middle of it all. The little monkey had been watching Dad move around with curious eyes, fascinated by the chopping, stirring, and sizzling sounds. Today wasn’t just any cooking day—today Cubis was going to help Dad make tofu soup!

At first, Cubis climbed up onto the counter, peering into the bowls of ingredients. There was fresh tofu, crisp green onions, garlic, and a pot of broth steaming gently on the stove. Cubis reached out to poke at the tofu, his tiny hands pressing into its soft, wobbly texture. He let out a squeak of surprise, almost as if saying, “Wow, it’s so squishy!” Dad laughed and gently guided him, reminding Cubis to be careful with the food.

His first task was simple: hand Dad the ingredients. With great concentration, Cubis picked up the green onions and proudly passed them along. Next came the mushrooms, which he inspected closely before dropping them into the pot with a dramatic splash. He clapped his hands happily, clearly impressed with his contribution.

Of course, no Cubis adventure would be complete without a little mischief. At one point, he tried to sneak a taste of the broth, dipping his tiny finger in and giving it a curious lick. The expression on his face was priceless—half approval, half confusion at the strong flavor. Dad chuckled and shooed him away from the pot, but not before Cubis tried again with the tofu cubes.

Finally, as the soup simmered, Cubis perched on Dad’s shoulder, watching the steam rise like magic. The smell filled the kitchen, warm and comforting. When it was time to taste the finished soup, Cubis leaned forward eagerly, his little eyes sparkling. Dad cooled a spoonful and offered it—Cubis smacked his lips and gave a satisfied squeak of approval.

Cooking with Cubis wasn’t always the easiest, but it was definitely the cutest. Together, they turned a simple tofu soup into a memory filled with laughter, teamwork, and just a touch of monkey mischief.
