Cubis had been curious all day. He noticed Dad packing towels, snacks, and even a bright inflatable ring. His little monkey eyes sparkled with excitement as he hopped around, wondering where they were going. When they finally arrived at the outdoor pool, Cubis let out the happiest squeal—today was the day he would try swimming outside for the very first time!
The pool looked huge compared to his small frame. The sunlight reflected off the water, making it glitter like a thousand diamonds. Cubis clung to Dad’s shoulder, peeking over with wide eyes. At first, he hesitated, unsure if the water was too big or too scary. But when Dad dipped his toes in and splashed playfully, Cubis couldn’t resist joining in.
The moment his feet touched the cool water, his whole body wiggled with joy. He splashed and kicked, sending little waves everywhere. With Dad gently guiding him, Cubis paddled clumsily, his tiny arms flapping in the water as if he were trying to take flight. His squeaks of excitement echoed through the pool, drawing smiles from everyone nearby.
After a few minutes, Cubis grew braver. He let go of Dad for just a second, floating with the help of his inflatable ring. The feeling was magical—he was no longer just on land; he was gliding, free and light, across the sparkling water. Every splash was a discovery, every laugh a memory.
Of course, there were funny moments too. At one point, Cubis tried to chase a floating leaf across the pool, only to tip himself sideways and send water splashing into his face. He blinked in surprise, then burst into giggles, shaking off the droplets like it was the funniest thing in the world.
By the end of the day, Cubis was tired but happy, wrapped in a warm towel and nibbling on a snack. His first outdoor swimming adventure had been a huge success. For Cubis, it wasn’t just about swimming—it was about exploring a whole new world with Dad by his side.
