Lala gave gifts to her kind neighbors before leaving!

The day had finally come for Lala and her family to move away. It wasn’t an easy decision, because this little neighborhood had been more than just a place to live—it had been a home filled with kindness, laughter, and wonderful people who treated Lala like their own child. She had spent countless afternoons playing in the yard while neighbors waved, stopped to chat, and sometimes even brought her snacks or small surprises. Their warmth made a big impact on her young heart.

Wanting to show her gratitude, Lala decided she couldn’t leave without doing something special. Together with her mom, she prepared small gift bags filled with treats, handwritten notes, and little tokens of appreciation. Some neighbors received homemade cookies wrapped neatly in colorful paper. Others got tiny potted plants that Lala had helped decorate with cheerful bows. For the elderly couple next door who always shared their fruit, Lala painted a small picture of their garden and wrote, “Thank you for always being so kind.”

As she went door to door, Lala’s excitement grew. Each neighbor was surprised and touched by her thoughtfulness. “You didn’t have to do this, sweetheart,” one woman said, hugging her tightly. Another neighbor smiled through watery eyes and promised that Lala would always be welcome to visit. Even the usually quiet man at the end of the street cracked a smile when Lala handed him a small bag of cookies with a note that simply read, “Thank you for being my neighbor.”

By the time she was done, Lala’s own heart felt full. Though she was sad to say goodbye, she realized that goodbyes didn’t always have to feel heavy. By giving gifts, she was leaving behind a little piece of herself and reminding her neighbors how much they meant to her.

As the moving truck pulled away, Lala looked back at the street one last time. She saw her neighbors waving, holding the small gifts in their hands. In that moment, she knew she wasn’t just leaving a place—she was carrying the love and kindness of her neighbors with her, and they would carry her memory too.
