Cubis the little monkey was busy playing in the living room with his toys. His blocks were scattered everywhere, and his favorite stuffed banana lay by his side. But soon, Cubis began to wiggle uncomfortably. He squirmed, frowned, and made a funny face. Something didn’t feel right at all. His diaper was full!
At first, Cubis tried to ignore it. He sat back down with his toys, hoping the feeling would go away. But the squish made him squeak, and he couldn’t concentrate on building his tower anymore. He stood up, waddling around in circles, scratching his little head. Then he realized—there was only one thing to do. He needed Dad!
“Daaaaaad!” Cubis called in his squeaky little voice. He climbed onto the couch, bouncing a little to make sure his dad would hear. “Help meee! My diaper!”
Dad, who was in the kitchen washing dishes, paused when he heard the call. He knew that tone very well. With a chuckle, he dried his hands and walked over. Sure enough, there was Cubis, looking both desperate and dramatic, pointing at his diaper with wide eyes as if it were the biggest problem in the world.
“Oh, Cubis,” Dad laughed softly. “You don’t like that feeling, do you?”
Cubis shook his head quickly, ears flopping. He made a silly grumpy face and crossed his little arms, as if to say, This is an emergency!
Dad scooped him up and carried him to the changing table. Cubis wiggled and kicked his legs, already feeling better knowing help had arrived. Dad worked quickly, humming a tune to distract him. Before long, the diaper was fresh and clean, and Cubis sighed with relief.
He gave Dad a big monkey hug, wrapping his little arms tightly around his neck. Dad kissed his fuzzy head and said, “See? All better.”
Cubis clapped happily, his problem solved. With a bounce, he ran back to his toys, ready to play again—clean, comfortable, and grateful for a dad who always came to the rescue.
