Lala feels scared and angry when Mom leaves the park to buy cakes for too long!

It was a bright afternoon at the park, and little Lala was full of energy. She ran up and down the slides, played on the swings, and laughed at the birds chasing crumbs on the grass. Mom sat nearby, watching with a smile, until she remembered something important—the bakery across the street was about to close, and she had promised to bring cakes home for the family.

“Lala, wait here and play for a little while,” Mom said gently. “I’ll be right back with something sweet.” Lala nodded, though her big eyes showed a hint of worry. She trusted her mom, but when minutes started to pass, her tiny heart grew restless.

At first, Lala kept herself busy, climbing the jungle gym and running in circles. But soon, the laughter faded. She looked around—Mom’s familiar figure was nowhere in sight. Fear crept in, and her little chest tightened. She called out softly, “Mom?” but no answer came. The park, once fun, now felt too big and too empty.

Lala’s worry quickly turned into frustration. Why was Mom gone so long? Didn’t she know Lala was scared? She crossed her arms, pouted, and stomped her tiny feet, trying to hold back tears. To her, every second felt like forever.

Finally, after what seemed like hours to Lala, Mom returned with a box of cakes and a warm smile. “I’m back, sweetheart!” she said cheerfully. But instead of running into her arms, Lala turned her head with an angry little huff. Her cheeks puffed, her brows furrowed—she wanted to show just how upset she was.

Mom knelt down, hugging her gently. “I’m so sorry I scared you, Lala. I didn’t mean to take so long. I’ll always come back to you.” Hearing those words, Lala’s anger melted into tears. She clung tightly to Mom, finally feeling safe again.

And when the cakes were opened, the sweetness tasted even better—because they were together.
