Lala impatient to not be able to sleep when hearing the news of going on a picnic!

The moment Mom mentioned the word picnic, Lala’s ears perked up, her eyes sparkled, and her tail wagged so hard it nearly knocked over a pillow. She had been dozing peacefully on the couch, but as soon as she heard, “Tomorrow we’re going on a picnic,” all thoughts of rest disappeared.

That night, while the rest of the house settled into silence, Lala couldn’t calm herself. She padded in circles on her bed, then hopped up to peek out the window as if the morning sun might hurry up and arrive. Her little paws tapped the floor anxiously, and every time Mom shifted in her sleep, Lala tilted her head, wondering, Is it time yet?

She tried everything—rolling over, curling into a ball, even tucking her nose under her paws—but her excitement kept bubbling back. Images of open fields, tasty treats, and running free with the breeze in her fur danced through her mind. She could practically smell the sandwiches being packed and hear the laughter that always came when everyone was together outside.

Finally, she gave up on sleeping and padded softly over to Mom’s bed. She gave the gentlest little whine and placed her paw on the blanket. Mom stirred and laughed sleepily, “Lala, it’s still the middle of the night. Go to sleep, sweetheart.” But Lala just wagged her tail, wide awake and ready for adventure.

The hours crawled by, and when the first hint of dawn touched the sky, Lala was already waiting by the door, picnic basket in sight. Her energy was contagious—her family couldn’t help but laugh at how eager she was.

By the time they finally set out, Lala bounded into the car with pure joy. She might have missed a night of sleep, but nothing could dim her excitement. To her, this picnic wasn’t just a trip—it was the promise of new memories, happy moments, and all the love a day in the sun could bring.
