The morning started off like any other—bright sunshine, birds chirping, and Monkey Lyly already bouncing with energy. Mom had just finished tidying up the living room when she noticed Lyly being unusually quiet. And with Lyly, quiet usually meant trouble.
“Lyly… what are you up to?” Mom called from the kitchen. No answer. She peeked into the hallway—nothing. Then she spotted her little monkey scampering out of the corner of the room… with a very guilty look on her face.
It didn’t take long to discover what had happened. Right there on the floor was undeniable evidence—Lyly had pooped. Mom sighed, shaking her head. “Oh, Lyly…” she said, grabbing some cleaning supplies. But before she could even start, Lyly decided the situation called for her own version of “damage control.”
In one swift move, Lyly scampered across the counter and leapt straight into the kitchen sink. Mom’s eyes widened in shock. “Are you serious right now?!” she gasped.
Lyly sat there in the sink as if it was her personal safe spot, looking at Mom with wide, innocent eyes. She started splashing at the faucet, making water drip onto her hands as if she was trying to “wash” herself. It was both ridiculous and oddly adorable.
Mom couldn’t help but laugh at the sight. “You think you can just wash this away and it’ll be fine, huh?” she teased. Lyly chirped and splashed more, sending tiny droplets across the counter.
Eventually, Mom lifted her out, wiping her little paws and giving her a gentle rinse in warm water. Lyly didn’t mind one bit—in fact, she seemed to enjoy the attention.
By the time everything was cleaned up, Mom was still shaking her head, half in disbelief and half in amusement. Only Lyly could turn a messy accident into a comedy show.
And as Lyly curled up later for a nap, looking completely innocent, Mom knew one thing for sure—life with her little monkey was never boring.
