After a long morning of rolling in the grass, chasing butterflies, and wrestling with her favorite plush toys, Lala the little monkey started to feel… odd. She scratched her belly, then her legs, and then her back. “Ugh!” she squeaked, fidgeting around in her spot. “Why am I so itchy?!”
It turns out, her playful adventures had left her covered in grass bits, dirt, and who knows what else! Lala rubbed her back against the wall, tried wiggling on the floor like a worm, and even used a feather duster she found nearby—none of it worked. She was still itchy and getting cranky.
Then, Lala had an idea. Her eyes lit up as she remembered the little pool in the backyard. Without wasting another second, she dashed outside, tossing off her toy hat as she ran. The moment she saw the sparkling water, she leaped with joy—SPLASH!
The cool water wrapped around her like a gentle hug. Ahhh… finally, relief! Lala swirled around, kicked her legs, and floated on her back like a fluffy little sea otter. All the dirt and itchy bits floated away as she happily splashed about. She even made a few funny faces, pretending she was a fish and blowing bubbles underwater.
Soon, her mood shifted completely. From itchy and uncomfortable to giggly and relaxed! Even a butterfly landed on her nose, and this time she didn’t chase it. She just smiled.
After her swim, Lala dried off under the sun, feeling fresh and clean. She gave a little shake and wrapped herself in a warm towel. No more itchiness, no more grumbling. Just one happy little monkey.
Moral of the story? When in doubt—and when you’re covered in grass and dirt—go for a swim! Lala will surely remember that next time she goes wild in the yard. 🐒💦
