Lala Took the Blanket and Pillow and Hid from Mom to Sleep in the New Bed!

It was a quiet afternoon, and little Lala had been unusually sneaky all morning. She had seen something new in the house—a soft, cozy bed with bright blue sheets and a fluffy mattress in the guest room. Her eyes sparkled the moment she saw it, and her tiny paws itched to climb in and snuggle up. But Mom had told her that the bed was not ready yet, and no one was allowed to sleep on it until the weekend.

But Lala couldn’t wait that long.

She tiptoed into the living room, grabbed her favorite blanket and small pillow, and peeked over her shoulder to make sure Mom wasn’t watching. Then, like a secret agent, she darted down the hallway and disappeared into the guest room.

With a little giggle, she tossed the pillow onto the new bed and wrapped herself in the blanket. The bed was even softer than she imagined! She rolled around, kicked her legs in the air, then flopped onto her side with a big sigh of happiness. “This is my new bed now,” she whispered with a grin.

Back in the kitchen, Mom noticed the missing blanket and pillow. “Lala?” she called out. No answer. She searched the living room, the backyard, even under the table. Then she tiptoed toward the guest room, suspecting something.

She opened the door slowly—and there was Lala, fast asleep, curled up like a kitten in the middle of the bed, snoring softly.

Mom couldn’t help but smile. She gently tucked the blanket around Lala and whispered, “Just this once.”

From that day on, Lala called it “her bed,” and Mom didn’t argue. Sometimes, when she wanted quiet time or a cozy nap, she’d sneak away again—blanket in one hand, pillow in the other—ready for her favorite hiding spot.
