It was a quiet and sunny morning in the forest, and little Monkey Cubis had woken up earlier than usual. Today was special—his Aunt had been feeling tired lately, always taking care of everyone else but never getting a break. So Cubis had a plan: he was going to surprise her with a delicious breakfast!
He tiptoed into the kitchen, tying a small apron around his belly. “Let’s do this,” he whispered to himself with determination.
First, he carefully sliced some ripe bananas, stacking them into a perfect tower. Then he added a few juicy berries and even managed to pour a little honey on top—though most of it dripped onto the counter. “Oops,” Cubis giggled, licking his sticky fingers.
Next came the toasted bread. Cubis jumped up, grabbed two slices, and popped them into the toaster. As they browned, he poured a glass of cold coconut milk and placed it beside the fruit plate. Everything looked yummy!
He stood back and looked at the tray proudly. “Aunt is going to LOVE this!”
Carefully balancing the tray in his little hands, Cubis made his way to her room. He used his tail to knock gently on the door. “Auntie? Wake up! I have a surprise!”
Aunt slowly sat up, rubbing her eyes. “Cubis? What’s all this?”
Cubis stepped inside, his face glowing. “Breakfast in bed! Just for you!”
Her eyes widened as she saw the tray filled with love and effort. “Cubis… you made this all by yourself?”
He nodded proudly. “You always take care of me. Today I wanted to take care of you.”
Aunt smiled warmly and pulled him into a hug. “Thank you, sweetheart. This is the sweetest breakfast I’ve ever had.”
They sat together on the bed, sharing food, laughter, and love. And for Cubis, that smile on Aunt’s face made every sticky mess and early morning worth it. 🐵❤️🍌
