Cubis, the sweet little monkey with the biggest heart, showed just how deeply he cares when his beloved Aunt fell sick one rainy afternoon. Usually full of energy and mischief, Cubis immediately sensed something was wrong when Aunt didn’t get out of bed like she normally did. She looked tired, her voice was soft, and she didn’t smile like she usually did.
Instead of bouncing around the house or sneaking bananas, Cubis tiptoed quietly into her room, his face full of concern. He gently touched her hand with his tiny paw and let out a soft, questioning chatter, as if to say, “Are you okay?”
When Aunt gave him a tired smile and nodded, Cubis decided right then and there—he would be the one to take care of her.
First, he brought her a soft blanket from the couch and carefully tucked it around her legs, making sure she was warm. Then, he waddled off to the kitchen and (with a little help) brought her a warm cup of tea. He even tried to blow on it to cool it down before handing it over with both hands, his little face full of pride.
Throughout the day, Cubis stayed right by Aunt’s side. He fetched tissues, gently patted her hand, and even tried to mimic her cough like he was “sharing” in her sickness—just so she wouldn’t feel alone. He played soft music from her phone and sat close, resting his head on her arm. Every now and then, he’d glance up at her with big, worried eyes.
The most heart-melting moment came when he brought over his favorite stuffed toy and placed it gently next to her. It was his way of saying, “This comforts me… maybe it will help you too.”
Aunt may have been the one feeling weak, but Cubis’s love gave her strength. That day, the smallest caregiver showed the biggest love—and reminded everyone that even the tiniest heart can make a world of difference. ❤️
