Lala is worried and panics thinking she will go blind, making Mom sad and crying!

Lala the curious little monkey had always been full of energy, bouncing from one adventure to the next. But today was different. Something didn’t feel right. Early in the morning, she rubbed her eyes and noticed they were blurry and itchy. She tried to open them wide, but everything looked cloudy. Lala began to panic. “What’s happening to me?” she whispered, her tiny voice trembling.

She ran to her mom, sobbing, “Mama, I can’t see clearly! Am I going blind?” Her mom turned around quickly, alarmed by Lala’s tears and shaking hands. “Let me look at your eyes, sweet girl,” Mom said gently, holding Lala’s face in her hands. But Lala kept crying, now in full panic mode. “I don’t want to go blind! I won’t see your smile again! I won’t see the sky or my toys or my favorite blanket!”

Seeing her daughter so afraid broke Mom’s heart. Tears welled up in her eyes too, and she pulled Lala into a hug. “Shh, shh… I’m here, sweetheart. It’s okay. We’ll figure this out together,” she whispered softly, stroking Lala’s fur.

Mom gently wiped Lala’s eyes and noticed they were a little red and swollen. “I think you might just have an eye infection, honey. Maybe from dust or something you touched yesterday. We’ll go see the vet and get some medicine. You are not going blind.”

But Lala’s fear had taken hold. “Are you sure, Mama?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

“I promise,” Mom said, kissing her forehead. “You’re going to be okay.”

Later at the vet, Lala was a brave little monkey. The vet confirmed it was just a mild irritation and gave her some eye drops. Mom smiled through her tears, holding Lala close.

That night, as Mom tucked Lala into bed, Lala whispered, “Thank you for not leaving me when I was scared.”

And Mom smiled, “Never ever, my sweet girl.”
