Cubis Monkey Refuses Bath Time for 20 Minutes?

It was that time again—bath time—and Cubis the monkey knew it. The second he saw Mom pulling out the little tub, warm towels, and his favorite bubble soap, he let out a dramatic gasp and bolted under the table.

“Noooo!” his little screeches echoed through the house as Mom tried to coax him out. It wasn’t even that he hated water—he just loved turning bath time into a full-blown drama.

For 20 straight minutes, Cubis put on the performance of a lifetime.

First came the negotiations. He pointed to the fridge—“Maybe a snack first?” Then he climbed the curtain like a wild hero escaping danger. Every time Mom came close, he dashed to a new hiding spot with wild eyes and a cheeky grin. He wasn’t angry. Oh no—Cubis was playing games, and bath time was the enemy.

Mom tried reasoning with him:
“Cubis, you’ve got banana in your hair. You rolled in dirt this morning. You need this bath!”

Cubis, of course, pretended not to hear. He picked up a sock and tossed it like a decoy before scampering into the laundry basket.

At one point, he dramatically wrapped himself in a blanket and flopped on the couch like he had fainted. Theatrics? 10/10.

Finally, after twenty minutes of epic stalling, side-eye glares, and escape artist moves, Mom had enough. She sat down, held out her arms, and said softly, “Okay, I’ll wait right here until you’re ready.”

That did it.

Cubis peeked from behind the chair, shuffled over slowly… and crawled into her lap with a pout.

A few minutes later, he was in the tub—bubbles flying, rubber ducky in hand, giggling like bath time was the greatest invention ever.

Typical Cubis.

From protest to playtime, bath battles are a regular part of his routine. But one thing’s for sure—he may resist, but in the end, bubbles always win. 🐒🛁💦
