Today was an unforgettable adventure for little Cubis Monkey! The sun peeked through the trees, casting golden sparkles over the peaceful pond where Cubis and Dad had come to spend a quiet morning. It was Cubis’s very first fishing trip, and while he didn’t really know what to expect, he was full of excitement and curiosity.
Dad carefully helped Cubis hold the little bamboo fishing rod. “Patience is key,” Dad whispered, as Cubis eagerly stared at the water. The pond was home to many beautiful koi fish, their orange, white, and golden scales glistening as they swam just below the surface. Cubis wiggled in excitement every time he saw one swim by, but he waited just as Dad taught him.
After a few minutes of quiet waiting, Cubis felt a sudden tug on his line! His eyes widened with shock and joy as he squealed, “Daddy! I got something!” Dad rushed over and helped him pull the rod gently but firmly. Slowly, up from the water came a shimmering koi fish, wriggling and flopping in the sunlight.
Cubis couldn’t believe it — he had caught his very first fish! He stared at the koi with a mix of awe and pride, softly giggling and clapping his hands. Dad gave him a big high five and praised him, “You did it, buddy! That’s your first catch!”
After admiring the koi up close for a moment, Cubis gently released it back into the pond, just like Dad had taught him — with love and respect for nature. The fish swam off, unharmed and graceful, as Cubis waved goodbye.
As they packed up their things, Cubis couldn’t stop talking about the catch. His little heart was full of joy, and his eyes sparkled brighter than the pond. It was a day of patience, learning, and a big first step into the world of fishing. One thing’s for sure — Cubis Monkey will never forget the day he caught his very first koi fish!
