Lala sadly remembers the good memories of being with Mom in the rain!

As the soft drizzle began to fall outside, Lala sat quietly by the window, her little face pressed against the glass. The rhythmic patter of the rain brought back memories she held close to her heart—moments filled with laughter, warmth, and the comforting presence of her beloved mom. Today, the rain didn’t feel cheerful. It felt like a gentle ache, reminding her of someone she deeply missed.

Lala remembered those rainy afternoons when Mom would take her outside, both of them huddled under a big, colorful umbrella. They didn’t mind getting a little wet. Mom would splash playfully through the puddles while holding Lala’s hand tight. They’d giggle as their feet squished through the mud, chasing each other between the trees. Sometimes, they’d stop under a big tree, sharing warm snacks wrapped in banana leaves, laughing at the thunder above them.

The most special memory? That one day when they danced. The rain was heavier, the sky a silver curtain, but Mom had smiled and twirled Lala around, singing silly songs. Lala felt like the luckiest little one in the world, safe in the storm because her mom was with her. The memory was so vivid she could almost feel Mom’s arms around her again.

But now, Lala sat alone. The rain came, but Mom didn’t. She wiped a tear from her cheek, hugging her knees. It was hard not to feel the emptiness, especially on days like this when everything reminded her of what once was. And yet, even through the sadness, Lala felt grateful. Those memories were hers forever.

Maybe someday, she thought, the rain will feel happy again. Maybe, one day, she’ll dance in it like they used to, and Mom will smile from above, proud that Lala still remembers the joy they shared.

For now, she whispered softly, “I miss you, Mom. Thank you for the rainy days.”
