Cubis’s Reaction to Returning to His Dad’s Hometown!

As the car rolled into the familiar countryside, Cubis pressed his little face against the window, eyes wide with curiosity. It had been a while since he’d last visited his dad’s hometown, and though he was just a monkey, his memories were sharper than anyone expected. The moment the car slowed near the old stone gate, Cubis began to bounce with excitement—he knew where they were.

The air was different—cleaner, filled with the smell of trees, fresh grass, and something that reminded him of childhood joy. As soon as the door opened, Cubis leapt into his dad’s arms and looked around eagerly. The old wooden porch, the garden full of banana trees, and the small stream at the back—all of it brought a sparkle to his eyes. He squealed with happiness, jumped down, and ran straight to the backyard like he had done so many times before.

His dad laughed, watching Cubis explore the garden, touching leaves, sniffing flowers, and pausing every few steps to take in the familiar surroundings. He even remembered the spot under the big mango tree where he used to nap as a baby. He sat down there, looking around as if soaking in every scent and sound.

But the real moment came when the village kids saw him and called out his name. Cubis’s face lit up with recognition. He ran toward them with open arms, chattering excitedly. They hugged him, offered treats, and played the games they used to. For a moment, it felt like no time had passed at all.

That night, as the sun set and the fireflies came out, Cubis cuddled next to his dad on the porch. He was tired from all the excitement, but deeply content. Returning to his dad’s hometown had not only brought back memories—it had reminded him of the simple joy of being surrounded by love, nature, and the warmth of familiar faces. It was more than a visit. It was a homecoming.
