It was a calm afternoon, and Monkey Lyly was lounging in her usual sunny spot near the back door. Everything seemed normal — the gentle breeze, the chirping birds, and the soft rustle of leaves. But then something caught her eye. Her head perked up. Wait… were those… chickens?
Not just one or two, but a whole flock of chickens had suddenly appeared in the backyard! Lyly’s eyes widened in disbelief. She rushed to the window, her little hands pressed against the glass. She blinked a few times, trying to make sure she wasn’t imagining it. Nope — they were real, feathery, clucking chickens, strutting across her turf like they owned the place!
Without wasting another second, Lyly darted outside, full of excitement and curiosity. At first, she approached cautiously, crouching low behind a plant pot. But the chickens didn’t seem to mind her presence. In fact, one particularly bold chicken waddled right up to her and gave a loud bawk!
Lyly leapt back in surprise, then stood frozen for a moment — unsure whether to run, chase, or make friends. But then something even stranger happened. One of the chickens dropped a small treat from its beak — a leftover corn kernel. Lyly blinked again. Was that a peace offering?
From that moment on, the backyard turned into a hilarious playground. Lyly ran in circles as the chickens clucked and scattered, then regrouped as if to play a new game. She tried mimicking their noises, much to the amusement of her human family, who watched from the porch, laughing at the unexpected animal friendships forming right before their eyes.
By the end of the day, Lyly was tired but happy, sitting in the grass with a chicken resting beside her. She couldn’t believe how the backyard had transformed in just a few hours. It had gone from her quiet hangout to a feathery, clucking party — and she loved every second of it.
One thing was certain: life with Monkey Lyly was never boring!
