It was bath time at the monkey house, but mischievous little Cubis had other plans. The moment Dad called out, “Cubis! Time for your bath!” the clever monkey darted behind the sofa with lightning speed, peeking out with wide eyes and a cheeky grin. He knew exactly what was coming — warm water, scrubbing, and worst of all, the shampoo!
Cubis didn’t hate baths, but he loved making a game out of avoiding them. Every time he sensed it was bath time, he would scamper away and find a new hiding spot — under the table, behind the curtain, or even inside the laundry basket! Today, though, he wanted to push the game even further.
As Dad searched the house, calling his name and pretending to be frustrated, Cubis silently climbed up to the top shelf and watched with curiosity. He giggled softly, covering his little mouth with both hands, enjoying the game. Dad checked every usual spot, but Cubis had outsmarted him this time.
After nearly ten minutes of hide-and-seek, Dad finally spotted a tiny tail poking out from behind a pillow. “Aha! Got you!” he shouted playfully. Cubis squealed and tried to run again, but Dad scooped him up in one quick move.
“No more hiding, you silly monkey,” Dad laughed. “It’s just a quick bath — and then your favorite banana treat!”
Cubis wriggled a bit but eventually gave in, letting Dad lower him into the warm water. As soon as he felt the warmth, his resistance faded. He closed his eyes and relaxed, letting Dad gently scrub his fur clean. Turns out, bath time wasn’t so bad after all.
By the end, Cubis was clean, fluffy, and happily munching on his banana. Even though he caused a little chaos, his antics brought plenty of laughter. With Cubis, even a simple bath turns into a funny little adventure!
