PuPu and Poki were lounging under the shady tree in the backyard when a sweet, fruity scent drifted through the air. Their noses twitched, and their eyes lit up. “Do you smell that?” PuPu whispered. Poki nodded eagerly. “It’s Mom’s homemade fruit jelly!”
They both jumped to their feet and peeked through the kitchen window. Sure enough, there on the counter sat a tray full of colorful jelly cups—mango, strawberry, and even their favorite, lychee! But Mom had placed a note beside it: “Do not eat until dinner!”
PuPu frowned. “We can’t wait that long!” Poki agreed. “Let’s come up with a plan.”
The two monkeys huddled together and started whispering ideas. Poki would create a distraction by playing with the toy drum near Mom, while PuPu would quietly sneak in from the back door. Timing was everything.
Poki ran into the living room and started banging on the drum with all his energy, making funny faces and dancing wildly. Mom laughed and clapped, enjoying the little performance. Meanwhile, PuPu tiptoed inside the kitchen, his eyes on the prize. He carefully reached up and grabbed two jelly cups—but accidentally knocked over a spoon with a loud clang!
Mom turned toward the kitchen. “What was that?”
Thinking fast, Poki did a somersault and fell over, pretending to be dizzy. Mom rushed over to help him, completely distracted. PuPu took the opportunity to slip out with the jelly, giggling as he ran.
The two monkeys met behind the garden shed and high-fived in victory. “Mission Fruit Jelly: Complete!” PuPu declared proudly.
They sat side by side, slurping the jelly and giggling at their clever teamwork. Though they knew they might get a little scolding later, they couldn’t help but feel proud of their perfect cooperation. After all, nothing tasted sweeter than a well-earned treat—especially when shared with your best friend.
