Poor Lala! The little monkey had been hopping around the garden earlier that morning, full of energy and playfulness, when she suddenly let out a tiny cry and stopped moving. Thuy, who had been nearby watering the plants, rushed over immediately. Lala held up her leg and whimpered softly—it was clear something wasn’t right.
Thuy’s heart sank. She gently picked up Lala and examined her little leg. It wasn’t broken, but it looked slightly swollen and Lala winced when it was touched. Instead of panicking, Thuy stayed calm. She kissed Lala on the head and said, “Don’t worry, sweet girl. I’ll make it better.”
Thuy rushed inside and grabbed her pouch of herbal remedies. She had learned some traditional healing methods from her grandmother, who always believed in the power of natural medicine. Thuy selected a few special leaves known for their anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. After washing and gently crushing them, she wrapped them in a soft cloth and carefully applied it to Lala’s sore leg.
Lala looked up at Thuy with wide, trusting eyes. She seemed to understand that Thuy was trying to help. Thuy cradled her gently, singing a soft lullaby while the herbs worked their magic. After a while, Lala stopped whimpering and began to relax, her tiny hand holding onto Thuy’s shirt.
Throughout the day, Thuy stayed by Lala’s side, changing the herbal wrap when needed and keeping her comfortable. She made a little pillow fort for Lala to rest in and even brought her favorite toy. By evening, the swelling had gone down slightly, and Lala gave a little happy squeak as if to say “Thank you.”
Thuy smiled with relief. “You’re strong, Lala,” she whispered. “You’ll be running around again soon.” And with that, the bond between girl and monkey grew even stronger—built on love, care, and the healing power of nature.
